Have you ever wondered what it would be like to SCUBA dive?
This is your chance to wear a set of SCUBA gear and swim underwater.
Bring your swim suit and towel and after a short introduction period,
you will get to try out this fun sport in our heated pool, close to home.
Ages:
18 & up; and 12-18 when accompanied by parent

Noon
Children ages 5
and under, along with an adult, can have some fun together splashing
around the small pool at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center. Slip down
the slide, scurry through the sand play area
or tinker around with our Gadgets & Gizmos water feature!
Admission: $1.50 per person, including adults
(season pass does not apply to this program)
Accompanying adult must be 16 years of age or older
and supervising no more than two children.
Children 6-15 will not be admitted.

this time. All children must be accompanied by at least one

Bring your dad to the pool for some family fun! All dads who are
accompanied by at least one child will be admitted free. PLUS, Dad will
receive a coupon for a free food item from the Edgewater Snack Bar.

Cardboard Boat Races
FREE!
Saturday, August 21 7:00 pm
Before the Family Dive-In movie, bring your own cardboard boat and test
your skills as a boat Captain! Thanks to Canoe Sport Outfitters, we will
provide the paddles and you design and build your own boat made out of
CARDBOARD and DUCT TAPE ONLY. For the safety of the pool and
participants, no other items will be allowed in the construction of a
boat. We will have singles and team races in the following age groups:
10 years & under, 11-15 years, and 16 years & up.
We will also have a family race which will require
at least one adult and least one child in the boat

Reynolds Feed Service Doggie Dive

After Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center has closed for the season, dogs
and their owners can celebrate the end of summer together at this pooch
pool party. Dogs will follow their owners’ rules and be accompanied by
their owners at all times. Dog and owner must be pre-registered to
participate. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will go to the Kiya
Koda Humane Society and Indianola Off Leash Dog Playground. Reynolds
Feed Service is proud to sponsor this event.
